Frozen Yogurt Pistachio Covered Grapes!
YUM! Those pistachios look amazing. What a nice, freshly colorful bowl to hand to your loved one for a “good for you” snack. What makes this snack good for you is of course the yogurt, but also those fresh and juicy GRAPES! What a good way to eat some fruit. Grapes are actually a kind of berry. No wonder they taste delicious. Pistachios are good for you too. If you read about them, you’ll find that they are a good source of protein, fiber, vitamin E and B6. Not bad for a little nut. We love them. So, here at Yum Maker, we’re always interested in adding them to any snack. We found this snack idea from Lindsay at delighted momma. She made this yogurt, grape and pistachio combination a frozen treat. She says that’s it like a sweet, candy crunchy treat. What a great idea!
- green OR red grapes
- greek yogurt
- pistachios, chopped
**This recipe uses non fat greek yogurt. Choose your preference.
- Poke each grape with a toothpick and dip it in the yogurt.
- Sprinkle crumbled pistachio on each yogurt covered grape.
- Push grape off of toothpick and onto lined baking sheet. Freeze.
Done! Ready to eat! Enjoy these twice…making with both red and green grapes. You can also make some without the sprinkled pistachio OR make some with double the sprinkled nut. YUM!
